The Baglietto Monokini 44mt, was born with the idea of satisfying the demand of exclusivity, simplicity and elegance requested by the owner.
Alberto Mancini, owner of the studio AM Yacht Design, has accepted the challenge of interpreting these three requests starting with the restyling of the exterior of the yacht: it was designed an original sundeck, positioned in front of the wheelhouse windshield, offering a raised position with a removable curtain system that allows you to manage the shade at any hour of the day, a true oasis of privacy has never been used before on this type of yacht .
In addition, the light cuts and recesses made in the restyling of the aft, offer a very special game of indirect lighting.
Different materials were combined in the aft cockpit such as teak ceiling, brushed steel of the flush mounted spotlights and GT gray metallic color of the superstructure.
Entering the salon you can feel a sophisticated elegance, characterized by the study of different materials that are combined to create a unique color tone of light ivory obtained from bleaching of sycamore maple and soft pale leather; the parquet wood treated ash wengè emphasizes the 3 sofas completely custom designed, dynamic and sinuous lines, are lined with soft fabric taupe linen of Rubelli.
Very noticeable is the seat-backs sofas that can break down to increase the seats and enjoy the two large sliding doors giving access to external terraces. Saloon Lamps are custom made and built in warm and cold materials such as steel, silk shantung and nubuck leather.
It’s a sophisticated style, emphasized by a careful study of indirect lighting, natural light through skylights that cut like knife blades the ceilings of the hallways and dining area, artificial waterfalls light and thin slices of light measured on sycamore wood;
it’s the light cuts created in the restyling of the external surfaces that are interpreted in bulkheads and doors interiors of the yacht, with an effect of “modern boiserie” composed of thin lines of indirect light that surround the rectangular perimeters of the various surfaces.
Study of illumination was therefore also crucial in the design of the cabins, the light is deliberately hidden, and the source is always indirect and is managed by the home automation software that allows to select, through the use of mini ipad, not only 4 scenarios but also all the pre-programmed video and stereo systems designed by B & O. The combination of the sycamore is repeated with different leathers and colors in order to achieve granature absolutely exclusives and unpublished specially created by Foglizzo for each cabin of the lower deck.
In the baths, wash basins are made from blocks of marble excavated in “Botticino” brushed, whose veins match the color of the teak, which has been subjected to a particular treatment to give uniqueness to every detail.
The mirrors increase the perception of space only where it is needed without unnecessary straining and exaggeration.
Finally the steel satin plays a very important role in any combination of material without ever being ostentatious, outlines with understated elegance the soft shape of handles, joinery details and highlights the curved surfaces that echo the atmosphere of big private jets.
In the wheelhouse there is a large study to every detail to obtain a truly unique design in which the three key elements such as brushed steel, vinaccia leather and the carbon fiber texture covers panels and uprights with originality and sportiness, while respecting the functionality and ergonomics imposed by the technical aspect of this environment.
